Chapter Four Finished

Chapter Four, the fifth chapter of Well of the World/The Kingdom's Scion, is finished. I really enjoyed writing it. The chapter does not hold much action but does set up the conflict between Mankind and the Elves and leads toward discovering what is at the core of that conflict. I am pleased with the chapter, and I think it does a great job of setting up one of the major POV characters in the book.

Now on to Chapter Five. I will take a look at it this evening after dinner and begin writing it in the morning. I can safely tell you—if there is anyone out there reading this blog, of course—that Kieren is in all three books of the trilogy. Chapter Five is the first chapter from Kieren's POV and I am really looking forward to delving into him. Truly evil characters are fun to write because, at least for me, I get to enter their psychoses and examine why they have become evil. No "well, he just is evil" excuse.

Hi Shy from Australia. :) I hope you and the girls are doing well! Drop me a line sometime.

Tusk, humans aren't all evil. They are shades of evil wrapped up with a little bit of good. *grins*

Mags, thank you for the reminder. I'm glad you are keeping me honest -- as usual. I have written a new blog post. And Tusk, stop being a suck up to Mags. hehe
